Admissions

Mid-School Entry: Y7 & Y8 ONLY: 2023-2024

Should you require an ‘in year’ secondary school place for your child at Barton Manor School please complete and return an ‘In Year Casual Admissions Form’ to the School. Please note the School opened in September 2022 to Year 7 students only and this academic year, as the school grows, only has students in Year 7 and 8. Both year groups are full and there is a substantial waiting list of 122 students. If you applied for a place in our current Year 7, last academic year, and advised us you wish your child to be included on our waiting list then you do not need to apply again.

We will add your child to our waiting list and send a letter to confirm that we have done so.

Waiting List

Barton Manor School will keep and maintain an up to date waiting list for Year 7 and Year 8. The waiting list has been compiled according to the School’s Oversubscription Criteria.

Places will be allocated to students on that waiting list as they become available.  The school's Waiting List will be re-ranked, in line with the published oversubscription criteria, every time a child is added.

Unfortunately we cannot give any indication as to how long your child could be on our waiting list or when a place may become available.

Appeals

Parents have a statutory right of appeal, should an application for a place be refused, by writing to The Clerk to the Governors, Barton Manor School Admissions, Barton Manor School, Spring Lane, Canterbury, Kent, CT1 1SU.  01227 532 140.

For any other queries or information, please contact:
