Parents/carers and parental engagement
We feel very privileged to work in such a vibrant and dynamic community as we recognise that the engagement of all stakeholders is an important aspect of a successful school. In essence, we feel BARTON MANOR SCHOOL is a place where children, staff and families are valued and all work together to ensure that children are challenged academically, inspired creatively and supported and fostered in their emotional development.
We recognise the importance of working in partnership with parents and carers, and so warmly welcome parental involvement in supporting and encouraging the students in their school work. There will be many opportunities for you to share in your child’s education and we are always available to talk to you about any aspect of your child’s development.
The School will offer a parent/carer forum group as well as a Parents/Carers Association, if possible, so that parent/carer views can be taken into consideration in more detail than via surveys. These also provide an opportunity for parents and carers to be more involved with the School for events that can aid fundraising or enrichment opportunities for students. Two parents/carers will be voted onto the Local Governing Body to provide parental input at a more strategic level.
