Barton Manor Launches its Quizbowl Competition

During the last week of term we held our very first ‘Barton Manor Quizbowl’. This event saw four students from each Form Group battle it out during an adaptation of University Challenge. This was a house competition and, as such, points will be totalled up across the year and added to each house's overall score.

This termly event poses questions related to the curriculum outline for the term, assisting with recall and revision across all subjects. Teams must buzz in, during the toss-up round, to earn the opportunity to answer three bonus questions. The whole event is live streamed into Form Rooms so that the year group can watch the excitement unfold.

All students who participated did so with excitement and enthusiasm, but a special mention has to go to Kenzie in Year 8 who led the way to a victory for Attenborough House. Elizabeth House took the win for Year 7 and there was a second triumph for Attenborough House with the Year 9 Team claiming first place in the final round of the week.
