As part of Barton Manor’s first Cultural Capital Day (the School’s enriching programme for students), some Year 9 and 10 students enjoyed hearing from a successful photographer (Yousef Al Nasser from the University of the Creative Arts) and how his career progressed. After explaining how he got to where he was, he then went on to run a Creative Portraits Workshop, and asked Barton Manor students to pick a partner and take 10 different creative photos of them, suggesting that the more fun they had, the better the photos would turn out.
In addition, the University of the Creative Arts also offered a branding workshop entitled ‘Brand Me’. This session talked about branding and how it tells a story, the importance of logos and images, and then students were asked to create their own personal brand.
