Barton Court Grammar School (BCGS) is a state, selective, co-educational school with a strong reputation for its high academic standards and its caring and supportive ethos. The School is an accredited ‘Advanced Thinking School’ and is also the lead school of Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT). The Charles Dickens School (CDS), a state, non-selective, co-educational secondary school joined BCAT on 1 March 2017 and Barton Manor School (BMS), our free school, which is also a non-selective co-educational secondary school opens in September 2022 to Year 7.

The Post
Our brand new free School is looking for an experienced Behaviour & Pastoral Support Assistant starting on 1 September 2022. This role will assist the pastoral teams develop an ethos of high expectations of staff and students regarding behaviour and attitudes. You will provide a strong presence throughout the School, managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour and with excellent IT and literacy skills, provide written reports for any relevant agencies.
Experience of working with young people or in a school environment is desirable along with working with those with special educational needs or extreme behaviour. Candidates should be motivated, proactive, approachable, resilient and a good listener.
This is a term time only role with 2 staff development days.
Hours are 8.15am-4.15pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.15am-3.45pm Fridays with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break – 37 in total.
