Annual Scholars Award Ceremony 2025
Posted on: 26/09/2025Today we celebrated the incredible contributions and accomplishments of a number of our students from the last academic year. This included those who participated in The Brilliant Club and the Scholars’ Programme, as well students who demonstrated outstanding achievements in other school activities. It was a celebration of dedication, commitment and the remarkable resilience exhibited by them in various aspects of school life.
The Brilliant Club
Across the three year groups, 26 students were recognised for completing The Brilliant Club programme. This initiative is designed to elevate our students’ learning experiences, allowing them to engage with PhD-style lectures and submit assignments that are graded at university standards.
Activity Volunteer Award
Also, celebrated at the ceremony were seven students who were awarded the Activity Volunteer Award. The purpose of this initiative is to create positive experiences that support the character development of our students through high-quality, inclusive leadership and volunteering opportunities.
Future Artist Award
The occasion then recognised nine talented students who had exhibited outstanding achievements in the creative arts. The arts are an essential part of our educational fabric, and it is a joy to see our students excel in this area.
Scholars’ Programme
Finally, a number of students were given Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards as part of the Scholars’ Programme, as well as five students who had gone above and beyond, demonstrating not only academic excellence, but also impressive contributions to our school spirit.
Bronze Awards were handed out to six students and Silver to a further five students. In addition, we were thrilled to congratulate two students who had been recognised as part of the Canterbury Festival Arts for their exceptional poetry.
Gold Awards, which are reserved for students who had gone above and beyond in their academic journey, were presented to six students.
At the end of the event, there was one final award – the Scholar of the Year Award. This honour is given to the student who has excelled in numerous areas, showcasing a balance of achievements, character and commitment. This time, we were thrilled to announce that the Scholar of the Year Award was Salina (pictured with Headteacher Mr Morgan and Deputy Headteacher Mrs Stanley)!
Mr Morgan congratulated all the students involved and thanked them for attending the ceremony. He concluded the celebrations by saying: “Let us continue to support and uplift each other as we embark on another exciting year of learning and growth”.
